Jim Behnke began his food service career at the age of 15 working in restaurants in the O'Hare Airport area of Chicago while in high school and college. Jim graduated wit a degree in Institution Management (Food Service Management). After graduation he was accepted to enroll in a Dietetic Internship with the United States Army. Jim was honorably discharged at the rank of Captain. In the Army, he served in food management positions.
After service in the Army, Jim received his Masters Degree in Food and Nutrition with a minor in Industrial Engineering.
Jim worked in Hospital Food Service for 37 years as a Director. In 2012 he received the Partnership in Leadership Award from the Association for Healthcare Food Service.
After his retirement, Jim became a Certified Lead Instructor for HACCP and is recognized by the International HACCP Alliance. Jim is a ServSafe® Instructor and Exam Proctor. Jim successfully writes HACCP plans that are approved by local health departments, Georgia Department of Health Seafood Division, and USDA.
Jim is very customer oriented and will be glad to give you a proposal for your HACCP and Preventative Control Plans.
